This painting was made a number of months before I discovered the work of Jon Schueler, a second generation abstract expressionist artist who was drawn to the ever-changing skies above the village of Mallaig in Scotland. Like Schueler, I am drawn to the non-representational and emotional elements of landscape…particularly sky. My hope is that Another Time, Another Place conveys those elements.
