It was one of those days in the studio in which I wanted to paint something dramatic; something that would add a little ‘zip’ to my generally meditative mode in the studio. My daughter and I did a lot of scuba diving in the Bahamas and Caribbean and experienced a few sizable storms. These memories catalyzed the creation of this artwork.
